Any advice would be great.
My advice is to keep trying and never give up, they want you to think it is a loosing battle and that you are a minority. You are not a minority and your vies should be respected. Teach your kids what you want them to know, explain how they don't have to repeat it or believe it and just to try and tolerate others no matter how insane they are. This is what I do. It makes my blood boil that I have to do this but I have gathered so much confidence from reading all the posts and information on this website. I will continue to try and have my voice heard and respected and will try to help my kids cope with this insanity others call 'religion'. Keep fighting for your rights, you are not alone!

Networking with other parents is important. The botherers have an advantage because they network through their churches. Despite that there are likely to be plenty of parents who are also unhappy and isolated, even religious ones who disagree with this breach of secularism.

I will absolutely keep fighting - with all the fantastic advice and support from wonderful people on this site - it's hard not to. I can't wait to tell when I have victory so I can inspire the rest of you.

So far, I have drafted what I think to be a compelling letter to the school authorities. However I now have in the mix a fellow parent who has a PHD in a science that is far too long for me to remember however essentially it's based on evolution. He has complimented my letter with one of his own which outlines a very srtong arguement in legalities....

They have a hard case to argue - so we shall see. If it all pans out the way I hope, I'll be more than happy to post an outline of our arguements and processes to help others in similar situations.

By the way - to answer a previous question - I'm in Perth northern suburbs.

And let's differentiate education and govt authorities from purported "authority from religion"
