Speaking of Media Watch, the ABC 15 minute television show 'Media Watch' is back for 2012 with the first episode airing last week. I love this show and does a good job of objectively exposing dodgy journalism.

A must watch for a heads up what really happens behind most commercial news programs/reporting.

The sample space is notoriously low though... I'd hardly call <500 people with almost 50/50 votes a large sample space.
And of course there are a lot of idiots on the internet.
Now a days the only motivation for me to participate in an online poll is to experiment with statistics. Other than that it is a futile exercise which does not appear to achieve anything.

Is this some sort of extension to the concept of original sin, where now everyone is responsible for everything any of there ancestors did and must now apologise and compensate?

Well I can only say that, being of Saxon origin, some of my ancestors were held as slaves by the holy roman empire and I demand compensation from the current inhabitants of Italy for the wrongs committed by their ancestors on my ancestors. How far can you push this back? I am sure the vikings probably killed some of my ancestors in sometime BC as well, I could be in the money here.
