I note she's off on reprieve, but what did Annie do to wind up on the Island in the first place?

Thanks for caring SD but could we all just ignore this thread and let it die a natural death.
To anyone who is curious....
Wolty and Protes were avin a laff - Oh and what a fine, hearty laugh it was.
The guffaws and chortles could be heard from far and wide. They are hilarious.
Now, please people who are kind and considerate, lets not bump this thread anymore so it can descend down the FI index and fade into oblivion.

Thanks.

Didn't mean to bump the thread, it just happened that way.

Protes, when you put that post here, it automatically bumped the thread. Just letting you know.

Ah, the classic "Two Girls, One Fuckup".
Sorry no. This is a technical demonstration of the physics the LHC will use to produce and then confirm the existence of the Higgs Boson. Note that the Boson will exit the collision perpendicular to the impact vector, an electron will be produced and also exit the scene, leaving a detritus of other particles whose properties have not yet been fully elucidated.

It is hypothesised that among the detritus will be found two very large particles considered to have charm and which may optimally have either left or right spin, depending on forces applied. Whether a test opportunity will arise falls under a principle of uncertainty. Assuming the right vector is found, movements in space may get fuzzy, in time, but physicists who think about it are hoping to find an entry.

It's what they always hope but many of them wind up in local theories of cosmic self-knowledge instead.
