Default What cheeses me off

Well- one of many things.

Christians telling me that I could never have been a proper christian if I am now an atheist; ignoring god's instruction to them, 'Judge not that ye be not judged!' Morons.

tell em they could never be a proper christian as you baptised them into atheism, out of concern for their reason.

How can you NOT believe in Cat in the Hat? It's RIGHT THERE! GAWD!
What cheeses me off: The idea that God is apparently both willing and able to stop evil, but for some excplicit reason waits till the rapture.

Xians who tell me I can't go out shopping, boozing, betting or eating on Good Freaking Friday cos it's their sacred day...this cheeses me off a lot cos my birthday often falls at easter and I have to forego a fun day cos everything's closed because of some ridiculous mad-eyed worship of a 2,000 year old dead Jewish guy...this is MY birthday you holy freaks are spoiling and I want compensation!

Also, stupid sound bites.

God is love Jesus saves etc beyond meaninglessness (scrabble how much?)

Easter.. celebrating the idea that zombies are a fact of life.

The Christmas star.. Ok dude, you go and try and "follow" a star and see how far you get.

The idea god would need a spokesperson.

I could go on and on and on before I got to young people and there loud music.

Saying that sacrificing yourself to yourself to stop yourself from punishing everyone and knowing you'd come back to life is the ultimate sacrifice.

My favourite bit (that cheeses me off of course) is the bit where an OMNIPOTENT, ALL RULING Father makes a rule (if he is OMNIPOTENT then obviously it MUST be him that makes the rule) that says if his 'pets' (us) are very very naughty, the only thing that can stop him destroying them all is if his ONLY SON is nailed to a cross and allowed to suffer for a few hours before he dies.

I can be a bitch as a mum i know, but not even I can begin to come close to that one.

Making my kids clean out their mouse cage pales in comparison really...
