Most likely. I don't know my birds very well.

This looks like one of the fellows that owns my school. S/he got into a big barney with some of the locals crows last week. When the squawks of twenty crows interrupted a lesson last week I went to investigate and found one of theses creatures embroiled in some disagreement with the crows. Silly me thought it was a victim so wandered closely to the frantic pile of feathers near the classroom. I isolated the turkey and the crows flew away. Then to my surprise the turkey was growling, yes, growling at me. It apparently wanted to continue the fight. The crows were going mad. After climbing up the stairs to one classroom and being shooed away, an injured with one eye bulging from its socket and blood leaking from all hemispheres, the crow somehow made its way up the eleven steps to my room disrupting my students no end. Meanwhile the bush turkey was still chanting 'Death To Crows' and going on a killing spree. The crows, although heavy in numbers, we're frightened and ravaged. The injured crow in my room somehow found its way into a tree while I distracted the bush turkey although it continued to watch the injured crow intently. Eventually, despite my theatrics to distract it, turkey made a bee line for injured crow. Presumably to kill it. The crow had recuperated enough to be able to fly away, very very quickly.
It was insane.

If my students know nothing about percentages, blame the bush turkey.

As I said before, I have seen multiple full grown male cats, big 10kg mongrel cats that look at small dogs with disdain, back off at a rate of knots when they see one of these guys.

A quick visit to the office from one of our local noise machines. Most just flit in and out for a quick chirp but this one dropped behind a library so I got to pick it up. They are so tiny!

Politically incorrect but we call scrub turkeys "Niki birds" because if you get a close look at their heads the black stubble, raw pink skin and only a hole for an ear looks like Niki Lauda

An event I anticipate will contain both hilarity and terror
