Hi LadyGreen, I have read about your story. It's a tough road and I hope it works out well for you. I admire your bravery.

I've worked with a few older transgender people, and society seems to be a much more welcoming place for them than it was 10 years ago.

For example Sarah works with a lot of schoolchildren and I have always been impressed with how open and accepting they are towards her. The future looks bright, the next generation don't seem to have the hangups that mine had forced on them.

Had a look at it. It's great to be able to download a sample of my kindle.. Pretty expensive at 12.99 or so, that's like 2.5 coffees! It seems a bit of a macho, detective story for my taste so far, but I am intrigued by the ramifications of the saved personality files and the reincarnation/sleeve person. together with the churches distaste for it. Hopefully, I can get it out from the library and finish it.

Here is one of my favorites, and a short story prequel

Shanidar by David Zindall

Neverness also by David Zindall.

Not especially hard Sci-fi, but a weird sort of mix of science, philosophy and Social Sci-fi, with some fantasy and space opera elements chucked in for good measure. Very well written with great realistic and flawed characters, set in a believable very distant future.

The trilogy A Requim for Homo Sapiens is an excellent follow on, in the way of the hobbit and Lord of the rings.
