Default Petition to stop prayers in Parliament

http://www.aph.gov.au/Parliamentary_...List?id=EN0335

Quote:
Petition Number EN0335
Petition Address To the Hon. Speaker of the House of Representatives and Members of the House of Representatives
Petition Of Certain citizens of Australia
Petition Reason We draw to the attention of the House the impropriety of House Standing Order 38 requiring The Lord’s Prayer to be read aloud by the Speaker on taking the chair each day. This ritual does not accord with the spirit of our Constitution (§116) in relation to the imposing of religious observance, nor does it represent the beliefs of the Australian people as a whole.
Petition Request We ask the House to remove these prayers from Standing Orders.

Signed, up to 515 now...

Notice some of the other wonderful petitions on that government site? this is my personal favourite...

EN0352

Quote:
Left wing hate groups are a threat to democracy, freedom and civil liberty. In recent years, these groups have started to act outside the realms of lawful, civil, peaceful protest employing the use of violence, racism, sexism, harassment, bullying and bigotry to advance their agendas of hate. Such groups include but are not limited to: ANTIFA, GetUp, Factions of the Greens ie. Leftist Renewal and Trade Unions ie. CFMEU. Hate speech is not a civil liberty or fundamental freedom protected by the Australian constitution and therefore shouldn't be treated as such. Left wing hate speech therefore needs to be taken seriously and dealt with accordingly to ensure continued community cohesion and maintaining the peace.

Go on, someone post the same petition but with all the "lefts" changed to "rights"

Instead of their oh so accurate examples i'd suggest the Liberal Party, Nats, One Notion, ACL, the Catholic Church, Reclaim Australia, any Murdoch publication, so so many to choose from.

I think they are coming for me. I guess I will have to "All people, parties or organizations found to be guilty of left wing hate be made to issue a public apology to the people of Australia". finally I am going to be on national TV, woo hoo!
