Okay, whatever with this meme... can you please convince me that supernatural experiences are bullshit?

Loki, you're conflating two issues just to mock me right? That's irrelevant and I don't care. I'm intent on discussing experiences with the divine and their verity in a substantive manner.
That's the thing Azu, "experiences with the divine" consist solely of making shit up what makes you feel good. They have no verity.

That's one possibility and a strong reason but NOT always so.

I disagree that people only make shit up just to proclaim as such or that they have no verity. It's possible however that they all could be liars - it's just that we do not have proof yet - such supernatural experiences are only tentatively possible.

No, supernatural experiences are not possible, it kinda goes with the definition.

There are only two credible solutions here:

1. We've figured out what natural situations cause NDE's.

2. We don't know.

There is a lot of data supporting 1.

The phenomenon is perhaps not entirely explained leaving some room for 2. It's somewhat unlikely anyone is going to get ethical clearance to go around inducing oxygen deprivation in healthy brains in the near future so there may always be an element of 2.

"A majic man done it majically with majic" don't enter into it. Whether individuals interpret their experiences through their preexisting religious fantasies also don't have anything to do with the phenomena itself.

The medical data supporting NDEs such as the shortage of oxygen in the brain or something like that are valid... but that isn't to say it rejects the perceptible experiences by the person going through this - in that case, medical data explain and provide link/causation to explain this phenomenon but isn't the sole system that exists... it may be real contact with the Divine that incurs such deprivation of oxygen in the brain or as you may call, not coincidence but interrelated or parallel systems.

Oh dear. How does a scientific explanation for your belief go?

My belief is not supported by scientific explanation yet. I choose to live by beliefs as much as with science.

All the gods must hate me, Azu. It was just nothing, peace and quiet, then I had to tell the ambulance guy Malcolm Fraser was the Prime Minister, and why couldn't he fucking bother somebody else with his homework questions and let me die in peace.

I sometimes wake up a bit grumpy.
