Attrocities committed in the name of religion

I'm quite fed up with people telling me that atheists are destroying society and religion is peaceful and all that. And they mention Hitler and Stalin as their arguments quite a lot. So I have decided to make a thread over here to mention the attrocities committed in the name of religion. There have been many threads over here which mention individual attrocities committed in the name of religion. But this is a compilation of them all. I have not made this thread with intention for things like "Mini-Woo spread" and stuff like that. However I have made it to expose religion. People suffer in the name of religion. And yet theists still say that without religion there is no morality or anything else they can say.

1. Muslims block the exit where school children are attempting to exit a burning building because their faces are exposed
2. Muslims fly commercial airlines into buildings
3. Muslims cut off the heads of three teenage school girls on the way to school
4. Muslim clerics ends up insulting dead Australian soldiers
5. In Saudi Arabia (a Muslim nation) you get your head cut off if you bad-mouth Allah or swear or blaspheme etcetera or if you are not a Muslim at all
6. Muslims are outraged simply when cartoons of Mohammed or Allah are published on websites
7. Muslims have sects too - Shia and Sunni being two of them - and they are designed to hate each others' guts
8. Muslims throw bombs into Israeli nurseries
9. Muslims murder teachers trying to teach Iraqi Muslim children
10. Muslims murder 80 tourists with car bombs outside Egyptian hotels and cafes
11. Muslims attack a missionary school in Indna and kill six
12. Muslims fire RPGs into Israeli schools full of children
13. Muslims beat the charred bodies of western civillians with their shoes and hang them over a bridge
14. The Taliban man! Islamic terrorists!
15. The Taliban attempts to train suicide bombers by threatening them and telling them they will go to Heaven and God will reward them if they do that
16. Muslims bully 11 year old boy because he ate a salami sandwich on the Ramadan period
17. Men following Islamic law seek for an "adulterer" to be killed
18. Islamic militia stone a 13-year old girl to death for "adultery"
19. Muslim TV executive convicted of beheading his wife
20. A Muslim woman stabs her 4 year old daughter 40 times and takes out her liver as a "sacrifice to Allah" and is sent to a mental institution

I am not sure about that one. Be interesting to check that one up. I know he had some webbing on his hands and the superstitious Orthodox Heads believed it was a mark of the devil.

BTW can anyone list the sort of things Christians and Jews etc have done as well? I'm not too sure on those. I know of the financial cons but other than that I'm not entirely sure.

I have at least one or two of these.

Too many to mention at the momment croc but I would suggest the crusades be a good starting point. Then there is the endless list of child sexual abuse commited by those worthy men of god namely catlick priests. I could go on and on but I need a beer and a swim.

While Russia was an atheist state for a few years and Stalin did oppose religious involvement in his country at the time, he also maintained a relationship with some of the bishops and the tsar, who believed in divine authority. What Stalin really opposed was the worshipping of others, he wanted people to worship himself instead. What is actually ironic is that now you can find Stalin images in Russia as a revered figure with holy references like Jesus. Would Stalin be rolling in his grave? I doubt it.
