@ Mr Black, I suppose the time to try new things you were worried about doing when alive, is after you are dead then.

The worst way would be at the age of 95 being shot by a jealous 18 husband just before i made love to his wife. The best way would be just after.

I am wondering just what sort of death (way of dying) would freak you out?
There are some days when living freaks me out far more than thoughts of dying.

You wouldn't care to wander over to the euthanasia thread and tell the youngsters about quality of life, would you?

(fawning supplicant smiley)
HAW HAW HAW!!! Just for you, Mr B.

Wink Re: Death

an interesting question what is a "worse" sort of death well slow and painful like cancer(s) you know they will get you in the end if nothing else does,... are certainly at the bottom of the list,...

drowning or suffocation initially off putting for the first maybe minute then you loose consciousness still don't know if that means "painless" but would have to be a freak show for the first minute,...

death by hanging AKA the medieval way was a slow and painfully agonising death (great crowd pleaser apparently) as opposed to the currently practised method in the US fast and effective

I should imagine a bullet (spear/knife,..) not in a vital organ so you get a slow bleed out would be slow and painful

eaten alive certainly wouldn't be a good way to go think a bunch of wild dogs or worse,...

mmm seems no matter how you slice and dice it you can't really beat thermonuclear explosions, sure not environmentally friendly but if your in ground zero damn fast

Burning to death would be worst for me, particularly if I was concious. Any death which involves strangers having to get me naked to try to save me and having an unwaxed bikini line!

Just found this little gem in my daily snuffle through the drip-tray under the Intarwub:

Brilliant! I've said in at least one thread that a necrophiliac can have my body after I'm gone, and clearly I'm not the only one with this particular wishes for my no-longer-needed-by-me body.

I don't really worry about death, but I do have a bit of a thing about crocodiles. I swim in the ocean here in Perth quite happy to risk shark-attack, but because it's not a risk I've grown up with, the thought of a crocodile creeping up on me in the beautiful kimberley / kakadu waterfalls that I'd love to visit frightens the bejeesus out of me.

from what I've seen they don't creep, they may well appear out of no where,...

perhaps check out a croc farm to give you some appreciation of their stealthness

I think the worst fear for me, is realising my body has been distorted. eg, from a bad fall, or heavy objects fall on me. Imagine, rubbing your head, and finding brain matter on your hands.

I had a broken arm before, and that feeling was way scarier then the thought of just not existing.

Rotten - dot - com has pix of such stuff, as does Bangedup - dot - com (assuming the latter is still around).
