Unreasonable Faith's Guide to to Christian Clichés and Phrases is a bit of fun.
I am curious though: does know what a xtian actually mean they say: "You are a seeker." That the persons is seeking a god? That they are ripe for conversion? Have heard that term a few time now. |

The whole "you're a seeker" is a huge assumption on behalf on the theist.

![]() Actually, like most things, it depends on the Christian. Largely because almost every Christian out there is using their own definition for almost any word they use. Very few are actually rigorous in their use of language, and those who try to be tend to be radically different sorts of Christians than most you'll meet. |

Thanks everyone.
Have had conversations about religion with this person before. On telling her about my atheism, she told me that atheists can't be good people and have no morals... ![]() Mr Black is probably correct: the latest interaction was an attempt to preach and try to convert. |

Then tell me (and you) that I'm a bad and immoral person. Tell her she's a seeker and that you have sought for her.

That sort of shit (atheist = bad person) shits me to tears, I get so angry at theists who try to use that statement as a weapon to feel morally superior. I haven't worked my arse off at uni for 3 years dirt poor to educate myself so I can be a counselor only to be told my moral compass is purely dependant on the community I identify with. Not my actions but my label. Meanwhile all a theist has to do is say sorry to an invisible zombie to feel abolished of all misdeeds, whereas as an atheist that doesn't apply. We don't say sorry and get a clean slate to do it again. What a crock of shit.
