While it does pertain to your hobby horse, it has nothing whatsoever to do with the GAC.

This is the reason your posts were pulled out of the thread.
See ... why do you keep putting shit on me
This is also your 'hobby horse' too isnt it? Arent I allowed to have one too

This is still on topic with religion and the GAC as far as Im concerned. Its just that its coming from a different angle. Its not the Evolutionary angle that most people come from ... Im coming from the biological angle.
I do have trouble explaining it and I would like to be able to practice explaining it without being shot down all the time. A little encouragement would be nice.

Your comment was not relevant to the GAC, and out of place for the thread it intruded into.
ok ... have it your way. I'll try to be more careful next time.

So tell me, set me straight here. Do you think that attachment theory and religion have a strong connection or should I take my 'hobby horse' elsewhere?

What do you deem?

I felt awful when i saw it.

I didnt use the quote thingy very well ...
Hooa, there is no need to feel embarrassed. We all at some time have been guilty of posting something we are not happy with later. That is just the nature of the beast. Mr B isnt exposing anything. Sometimes it is hard I know, we think something, and then we write it and it just doesn't sound the way we wanted, or how we though it would. Thats ok, this place is for learning.

Mr B isnt putting shit on you at all. He is a moderator, and as such it is his job to ensure threads stay OT for the benefit of all those participating, and following. If you question why something is see as OT then the reasoning will be explained to you, as Mr B has done.
I actually had to create a thread for myself, called derail hoedown, cos I do it so often. It happens, but getting defensive about it does no good, because the forum is for everyone, not just me and what I want to say. OT posts are very frustrating for those wanting to discuss the original idea.
Now you have a thread, which is dedicated to your own interest. You can practice and thrash out your ideas here. It will be fun, and you will develop your own skills. Enjoy

Hi Strato

Thats parenting isnt it. We do a lot for them.

I did everything that most parents do too. Introduce them to this that and everything. We bombard them with information and food and external stimulation. I breast fed for ages, stopped work and stayed home with them for ages blah blah blah .... Then I read a book called "Becoming Attached" by Robert Karen, it was fantastic but it depressed me because all of those things that we do are not the key things that create the attatchment to you.

That was the book that made the penny drop for me

I am just as much to blame Mr Black, if not more, because I derailed the thread first.

Of course, that would be for another topic, and politeness would indicate that you should lead if you're asking.

I already know I'm low but not zero.
I scored high on the eye test 28.

I didn't do the other two because I already know where I am and also because they're long.
