I suppose the story with no details wouldn't hurt. I employed a painter who rented a Cherry-Picker. The driver of the CP [not the painters!] demolished a common [Strata Title] wall when taking the thing away. The Corporate Body holds me responsible!

About 4 insurance companies are arguing about it. Got the CP rental company to admit the damage by phone, but they won't commit to paper. It has been going on for months and the other units are pissed at me. So I have paid to get it done, hoping to get the money back from insurance or the CP hire firm. There was a car damaged too [more joy to come!], but I have heard nothing yet.

So I may be in for big bucks, and may not be refunded. If I get reimbursed, then I'll come. I am tired of it all! Please kill me now, someone!

@Darwwinsbulldog that really sucks big time. When I get my sh1t together and know about this stuff ahead of time so I can plan. I hope to spend more time going to these things. Anyway hope it all gets sorted.

Good to hear your coming Prudie, the deal is if we have 6 or more we can probably get allocated a table prior to the night (tables of 10).
Otherwise we group outside early, charge in as a pack (decorously of course ) and stake out a claim.

4 bodies booked to date 22/6:
AUSloth
kazzaqld
two dogs
prudie

Edit: Let me know re partners as well for the correct total.

BUMP for any forumites considering attending the Aus Skeptics convention in Nov/Dec.
Also a notice that as per the SGU podcast 7/7 REBECCA WATSON of Skepchick and SGU will be attending.
