Default GAC bits'n'pieces

This thread is for GAC-related stuff that doesn't fit anywhere else - trivia, snippets, general excited comments - maybe even some whinging from those who aren't attending (although frankly, get your own thread ).

So.

It's Thursday morning and I'm all a'fizz with excitement as I'm heading into town this afternoon and am so excited to be meeting so many tonight

Heh, the lift here makes funny noises and is possibly the slowest 3 story lift I have ever been in. Seems to make the destination ok though.

You can indeed Xeno. Tickets available and everything. Flights are cheap enough. Durro has a spare bed in his room due to his roomie not being able to make it and it's at the Pensione.

Surely that's tempting enough?

Go on...go AWN!!!

Meanwhile, I CAN'T FIND MY FECKING CAMERA BATTERY CHARGER ADAPTOR THINGY!!! It's got a US battery charger and I know I have an adaptor but do you think I can find it anywhere? Nooo. So I'll have to swing by Anaconda or Aussie Disposals or something and pick one up. I'll use the eyefone for most stuff but the camera takes better long and wide shots so I definitely want that with me.

I'm packing at the moment. You'd think I lived interstate with the amount I'm putting in but I want to be ready for every possibility
