Default ANNO 2070

I am really enjoying this game. Think of it as a cross between Sim Cities and The Settlers.

The plot is that the the ice caps are melting and the water is rising. Well... Not enough for it to flood the whole world though. Coast cities are gone, but most of the main land is still there. I mean, for example, Australia is flooded right down the middle of it, but it is still a large land mass.

Anyway.. with the rising waters, certain mountains and areas are becoming suitable for habitation and growing of food. It is your job to build a city and become powerful.

There are two major sides in this game and a third side which you can join as well.
The Tycoons are fast building, fast wealth generation style of play. They can build cities quicker and become rich easily. But you have problems with pollution and chewing through your resources.
The Eco are slow to build up, slow to generate wealth, but they hold a stable economy for the whole game and benefit from a good ecosystem.

The Techs focus on technology and underwater exploration. They will help either side, so long as they prove to be an asset to technological gain.

You work from island to island, building your cities, gathering resources, making the people happy, building underwater islands and controlling the area.

Bonus:
The three organisations aren't really keen on religion. The Tycoons see it as a money making device, the Ecos tolerate it... if to make a bit of money from it.
And the Techs find it stupid.

Currently on a mission to deliver some communicators to the group. I can pick a side I want to work for.

This is what the Techs say:
"What does those lunatics want to do? Build a 'Star Transmitter'? That will only pave the way for more dangerous nonsense! Once they're on board, it would be best if you were to use the communicators to summon some trained psychiatrists along with their 'protective straitjackets'!"

Prof. Dr. Salman Devi, you just became my hero!

I've yet to join the Multi-player... But I'm having a ton of fun with the Single player at the moment.

I can never seem to play the Tycoons. I just can't stand their pollution ways.
You?
