Smile It's back! Global Atheist Convention 2018

The current two confirmed speakers set an interesting tone, being ex-muslims. It'd be great to hear from other ex-muslims as well, like Ali A Rizvi (author of An Atheist Muslim).

Looking forward to seeing who else is added, I enjoyed the last Convention!

I am happy to hear from anyone.
I do hope we properly vet the speakers though as I am getting tired of the muslim bashing so i hope that they aren't going to do any of that.
I think if most people sat down and had a meal with a person who identifies as Muslim they'd find they are just the same as snyone else.

Edit:
I think we need a multifaceted view which takes account of North-south issues as well as east-west. Also not to be forgotten is lack of education.

I have fallen into enough islamophobia myself over the years to see thst it is an easy trap to fall into

Is the invitation being sent to the current PM asking him to open it? :-)

Thank YOU! Really appreciate the work and the effort to make this happen! If I could suggest Maajid Nawaz would also be an excellent addition (love hearing that guy speak). Also perhaps a plug for the Secular Party of Australia might be good with a speaker from them? Good luck with bringing it all together!

Haven't been on the Forums for a long, long time but just had to pop by to say YIPPEE!!!!

Even though it's around Chinese New Year, and flights will be more expensive and in demand, I'll be there. In fact I might just have to book very soon just to make sure I can get a flight!

So excited for the Convention and to see everyone again!

This is one reason I kept up with my AFA membership.

Yes, the last convention was excellent. Looking forward to 2018.
How about asking Pat Condell to come and entertain us?

I would be happy to see anyone of the people on the Secular Jihadis podcast.
