attaching pictures to posts

Ok...don't laugh..but I don't know how to get a picture into my post..I've tried the "insert picture" and it ask for a web address...but the picture's has been saved to my PC...it's just a few Atheist cartoons that I have saved.

I've tried everything. Any help would be great.

you need to have the images uploaded somewhere on the internet. There are plenty of free image hosting websites such as http://flickr.com or http://xs.to

http://xs.to is pretty easy, upload your image, copy and paste the url from 'PHPBB Full Size:" the bottom section directly into the post, no need to even click the img icon here.

so it looks like this :

[img]http://xs.to/image-25A5_4BCE7FCD.gif[/img]

which results in this!

Thanks for helping with the image in the T-shirt thread from off topic. I need a pearl of your wisdom. I used the img BBcode but it did not load the image direct to the comment, however the link I used is a working link. I have combed the feedback and support but can't really see why.
If you can help me "form a pyramid with my excrement" as they say, it would be much appreciated.

I note xs.to dissappeared and was subsumed by another company.

Probably the best out there at the moment for spontaneous picture publishing, without the need to login, is http://tinypic.com which can also do video (however we cannot embed the video here on the forum, without Protium doing a hack, and really warranting it ... considering we have other options already)

Hi, I may well be an idiot, and I'm probably missing something really simple here. But I can't post pics for love or money. Is anyone able to tell me how?
It seems I can upload them into the window, but when I preview it just says attach###attach. (or similar)
