Apparently the man was a regular gambler in Las Vegas, he also had a court case for injuries when staying at one of the strip hotels rejected by the court, whether that affected his motivations of not I couldn't say, however I do have one thing to say.

The man entered a major hotel in a popular town with 20 weapons, including an AR 15 and a number of scoped long rifles and ammunition, I can't imagine this would have been easy to carry or conceal, I can't imagine anyone who wasn't white walking into a hotel in the USA with that arsenal and not getting pulled up.

While they appear to be big on terror, it's just an appearance, it doesn't actually achieve anything, and I doubt this will change anything.

I express my condolences to the victims, but I can only express puzzlement as to how this happened in the first place, how anyone can assemble an arsenal of such proportions, it should raise red flags from here to the Andromeda galaxy, how anyone can carry that arsenal into a major hotel in one of the most popular cities in the USA, while a mass gathering was taking place.

Security in the USA is all theatre, no substance. It ends at the borders, but the most dangerous area is inside those borders!

Just to add, Republican politicians in the US are saying this is not the time to talk about gun control, when is the time? They ignore it when there is no focus like Sandy Hook and here, when there is a focus they immediately come out with inane arguments that it isn't the right time. Yes it is, this is the time!

They released O.J. just 20 hours before the attack took place so all the media would come and be in place to cover this event. The whole thing has the hallmarks of being scripted by deep state Democrats and their Islamic allies using mental patient cut-outs.

It must be insane trying to undsrstand the world from a conspiracy minded perspective, i imagin its like an acid trip in that every thought seems to be followed by "but is it?"

You don't need a license to have a gun in Nevada.
You don't need to register your guns in Nevada.
You don't need a brain to work in the government in Nevada.

I just read a recent article, apparently he had a history of buying guns from various places, his family knew he had a lot of guns, they also knew he didn't hunt or use them for recreational purposes, if that isn't a red flag to most people I don't know what is.

Did nobody ever ask him why he needed so many guns? The answer, "because I am allowed to" isn't really good enough I think.

^ Yes. People should have been concerned about the shooter's behaviour leading up to the massacre.

But if he was acting within his legal rights, what could have been done?

Nothing will change.

Protip. Go on Gun Pages and tell them that leaving aside sporting shooters and farmers, the people who want to own guns are the exact same people who shouldn't be allowed to have them. Much merriment. Much abuse. Self-fulfilling prophecy.

Just like a funeral isn't a time to call out bullshit when the minister preaches from John 3:16, so now is simply not the time to invoke the big issue, America's malaise. Show respect. Talk up 'unity.'

Mourn the Las Vegas shooting, we're told. But don't ask why it happened

We don’t stop talking about terrorism after another Isis attack. But many want the gun control debate to be a taboo after a mass shooting.

Quote:
“Our whole nation must respond with countless acts of kindness, warmth and generosity,” he (Steve Scalise, Republican House majority whip) said.

That kindness does not extend to protecting the next crowd of festival-goers, or elementary school children, from semi-automatic assault weapons that could be rigged up to work like machine guns with a hand-cranked device costing $99.

Because right now, at this time of mourning, unity trumps sanity.

If it was just the shooter it would not reflect so poorly on human nature and society, or at least modern white western male human nature and society.
Unfortunately the non-response indicates that this is what we (as a society) want. Its what we've often done through the military.

Consider the burning of the Reichstag.
