Iím guessing a King Cobra, as itís endemic to regions with a high population density, and hence more people are likely to be bitten?

I'll go with the krait, on account of it being small, unobtrusive, and endemic to roughly the same regions.

Dry parts of Africa, the Middle East, India and Pakistan.

It is a small snake, 1 to 3 feet long.
