Default Re: Campaign to Stop Qld State Funding of School Chaplains

Ask students of what age? Ask them when? After they've been indoctrinated & aren't noticing anymore? It's a falacious argument. How would you even word the question? I'll have a go..

"Are you aware that the absence of secular-themed fundraising is as a direct result of the fact that the P'n'C at your school is 'stacked' with people who are in regular attendance of local churches, and as a result, you are being subtly fed their world view through the activities that DON'T occur (at your tax-payer funded school,) rather than the ones that do?"

I'll try putting that question to the next 8 year old I see - lol.

Its interesting . I just spent a couple of hours trawling to find out how much the Queensland State Government spends on the Chaplaincy and Pastoral Care Funding Program (YNSS). I have failed to find anything. The online budget papers and finance records all seem to simply be consolidated highlights of things the government wants to showcase. I can't find a simple profit/loss style statement. I tried the Department of Education but found the same thing. I even went to individual school annual reports and only found a consolidated government grants line in every case.

Anyone else have better research skills able to find the financial details of this program?
