Default presuppositionalism is annoying

Presuppositionalism seems to be getting a run on various forums lately. I find it hard to believe that a christian apologist can feel that they can go into a debate claiming that the debate can only make sense if they win at the start.

Anybody know where the IRONY BOARD is? Apparently many Christian arguments like to assume that their god exists, then try and prove that a god exists, finish up thinking they've won, without realizing they forgot to prove that it is their god.

Ouch, learnt something today. Almost felt like I hadn't.

I don't have a problem with presuppositions, provided they are abandoned when reason or evidence proves them false. The classical Greek philosophers had to start somewhere....but a lot of stuff has happened in 2400 years, so it is not usually relevant to dial everything back to zero and reinvent the wheel over and over again. Anti-rationalists are obsessed by it, and Catholic philosophers simply worship Aquinas, More and that Hippo dude who was obsessed with farting being proof of post-fall humans-Augustine, I think! Well, I have no problem with the notion that clerics are bags of fart.
