It just happened again, this time it was a friend of my boyfriends who also called him a fag and insisted she was not being offensive because her brothers gay as if that has anything to do with it. I acually thought we were friends and i expected my boyfriend to stand up for himself but instead he just fucked off and left me to deal with it (and hung up on me when i later called to talk about it) so i'm feeling stupid for thinking i was close to either of them.

Many people are adult in years, but unfortunately their ethics and behaviour needs to catch up. Not your problem or failing LG. Unfortunately we have to share the same air with those who have wooden hearts and sawdust for brains.
Just stick to the idea that science tests falsifiable hypotheses to destruction.
