Stub King said example: last year I was in the US. went with growler A to brewery B and was told they cannot dispense beer because they can only do so if the container has their name/logo on it. tell me this is not something AB InBev and company's doing? they did fill it but covered the growler in black tape.
On this SK, there was a place in Qld that I heard would only fill their very own growlers. Don't remember who it was now and I bet they have stopped not filling others' growlers now if they got some bad press.

Qld is shit for weird take-away laws. I bought a squealer recently from a brewery, he had to hand it to me whilst he was standing inside and me outside. Some places can only fill their own beers brewed on their premises, others can do all the beers they have on tap.

Re: Nice beer that I'm having thread

no idea what scientific discovery this is for but any is better than none.

got these today and will try them during the weekend.

also got a IIPA aged in bourbon barrels from Founders, which is very interesting vis a vis the aging discussed a few posts up, since aging IPAs is usually a big no-no.

There's been some discussion in beer groups about these two. MO forced retailers to buy their stout as well as these and apparently some are now asking over $50 for 4 cans, these two and two stouts as a package. The stouts didn't sell terribly well supposedly. __________________ . . . I did not consider the stout. not a fan. love imperial ones but standard usually taste flat to me. but yes, these were $13 a piece so$50 for a 4-pack makes sense (math-wise that is ).

Re: Nice beer that I'm having thread

Julian, I might have ordered one of these.

Quote:
FAT SANTA WHISKY BARREL AGED IMPERIAL STOUT Special Release | 10.7% | 500ml Fat Santa is a rich, decadent example of a whisky barrel (ex-red wine) aged imperial stout. Aged for 6 months, then racked onto whole coffee beans, vanilla beans and tonka beans. Think dark chocolate, whisky, red wine, coffee marzipan and vanilla – all the things that Santa loves. A perfect match with Christmas pudding, custard and cream. Merry Christmas!

Re: Nice beer that I'm having thread

Is stout even a beer? Technically, I suppose.
