There you go I thought Sydney Grammar alongside Shore was in the Anglican system, hence talking about them in the same sentence, I am not a native Sydney Sider so I have an excuse . Regardless I know a few ex-shore people and they seem pretty irreligious.

I am definitely really hoping that there could be a Global Atheist Conference in 2014 in Melbourne. High on the list of wanted speakers would be Seth Andrews from The Thinking Atheist (i note by the way from his posts that he would be keen to come over to watch the Australian Open Tennis so if it was shortly after Im sure it would be possible to encourage him). Other people on the wish list would be Teresa MacBain, Richard Dawkins, Brian Cox, Sam Harris, Dan Dennett, David Attenborough, Matt Dillahunty, Ayan Hirsi Ali, Stephen Hawking, Don Barker, Judith Lucy and Carolyn Porco to name a few. Any of these would be worthwhile making the trip over to listen to but i think Seth Andrews who just released his book De-Converted should be high on the wish list.

I too would like to see Brian Cox at the next GAC, but at the same time I would also like to see some more atheist speakers invited who do not have a science or philosophy background (though I have enjoyed these types of atheists in the past). Non science/philosophy atheists who would be entertaining speakers might include: Stephen Fry, John Malkovich, Nigella Lawson, Scott Clifton, Rob Reiner, Matt Stone, Andy Serkis, Emma Thomson. And as for comedians (they are always wanted): Jimmy Carr and of course Ricky Gervais and Eddie Izzard would be the icing on the cake.

I am one of the +10s/+3s, who missed 2012 GAC, but would hitchhike if necessary to get to a 2014 GAC ... *prays to FSM for a 2014 GAC*

"Ramen".

...oh, it's looking less and less likely for 2014 isn't it?

Though I understand the sheer effort, time and resources that are required in organising another GAC, we'd all certainly appreciate it (and come!!)
