I've been spending time with a specialist who specialises in special things. In our discussions we often talk about Memory Triggers. Memory triggers can be images, smells, sounds - in fact any sensory input that causes immediate recall of a previous experience. Often, memory triggers are responsible for flashbacks to traumatic events fro some people.
Anyhoo, the discussions have had a side-effect on me I believe and I suspect that I've become hypersensitive to memory trigger and I'm now detecting memory triggers all over the farkin shop! Sometimes the results are bloody funny and I'm finding that a lot of objects, words, sounds, smells immediately bring back memories of some outright weird shit! Tonite for example, while enjoying a handful of mixed fruits and nuts, as I reached for this: Wallnut.jpg the innocuous walnut triggered recollection of Hannibal Lecter preparing breakfast with this: Hannibals Breakfast.png The relationship between the two is akin to pareidolia - the walnut does look a bit like a cross section of a brain - but I think it's plain funny that I remembered that scene from the movie when I picked it up and was getting ready to eat it! ![]() Anybody else got some weird or fascinating memory triggers and care to share 'em with us voyeurs?

baby powder. It just smells like shitty nappies, and takes me straight back to when they were my job. Last time I had my little dogs groomed, they sprayed them with baby powder scented stuff.
EEOOWW, shitty nappy all the way home ![]()
