Even vapour, caught in my moustache from cutting the fruit, was a hot surprise.

Nice. I've managed to grow a ghost pepper in my brothers pool room, no mean feat for Melbourne. Nice healthy plant that's growing beautifully, just the one pepper though, lol. Hoping for more at some stage

Finally got around to processing photos from the morning of the 17th. As always, possums galore.

Dog v2.0 loves to run the overpass embankment at a height above my head. She poses heroically.

One of the creek corridor possums, safe but not feeling secure.

Acacia and Canteloupe, high above the footpath.

Acacia in a zoom closeup.

All three uncropped, as taken, with only colour correction:

Not really a seasonal cherry-blossom.

The fence in a medical car-park, blurred by today's rain.

The obligatory possum shot, from the morning of the 24th.

Oo-er! It's a big, brown, wriggly thing!

Most likely guess is that it's a hawk moth larva of some description.

Yes, a Hawk Moth larva was the first thing that popped into my mind.

I've recently moved country-side, and have put a bird feeder of sorts in my garden. So far I've had crimson and eastern rosellas, magpies, wood pigeons/doves, sparrows, currawongs and other assorted feathery creatures come to visit.

I always know when they are there, because my two devil cats sit at the window and "chatter" to them. They're probably itching to get out and "play" with the birds, but as I tell them a thousand times a day: "cats stay inside". They have a hard life...
