i'm starting to think that this is the last season of America and the writers are just going nuts
I'm hoping this final season of the show will be a little less boring than Sopranos and a little less traumatic than Serenity. Sadly, I'm expecting something more like Twin Peaks, and not in a good way!!

The fivethirtyeight team do politics podcasts about each week, and in response to major events. Although they sometimes vary in quality, they're usually good.

Insofar as this one relates to the Hilary Clinton's book and the outcome of the 2016 election, it's excellent -

Politics Podcast: Does Hillary Clinton’s Book Get 2016 Right?

The part of the discussion relating to Clinton's book and the 2016 election starts at 11:40 and ends at 41:50 . Really worth a listen.

Reality is a complex critter.

Among many, many interesting points, Nate Silver's thoughts re the New York Times, and how past reporting errors of judgment are continuing to influence present attempts at analysis, are damning.

Listened to it at dinner. A couple of things I noticed. The woman talking about sexism and the guys sort of noticing it after the fact. And another thing they didn't mention. That strong powerful women can be intimidating for not only men but women also.

Reality is indeed complex.
