Smile Iran in Top 10 atheist countries!
I just wanted to share the good news, Iran made it to the Top 10 countries in Atheist Census! Hooray, Iranian atheists are finally getting the recognition they deserve.

Which makes me think, I hope to goodness that the security systems protecting the email addresses of the Iranian respondents (and many other countries) is top notch, or they may be up for the sort of government recognition no-one wants.

... but only VERY slowly! ... FWIW to extrapolate at this moment (now just over 500 submissions! ):
  • 70% of Chinese are 'Nones'
  • Population of China is over 1.3 billion
  • Number of expected submission to the census, (assuming, alas falsely, full participation) - at least 910 million
... and that's not including non-Nones ...

... BUT then discount for non-participation (whether for reasons of 'care factor', or internet censorship (?), or limited power points/broadband access amidst rice paddies, etc) ... ... *drats* ...
