The important thing, Az, is that dreaming wastes time you could have used being sad.

How's this. You don't have to tell her.
I know it sucks to be secretive and it would feel bad to deceive your mum but it is your life. Don't deny yourself potential happiness and don't feel guilty about keeping secrets from your mum. This is her doing.
Everyone deserves a life.

Probably not too many human’s around that haven’t, from time to time, lied to their mother about sex, especially if it keeps the peace.

A gay friend of mine kept his sexuality secret from his parents his whole life, or rather his parents whole life. It was difficult for him but, like you, he didn’t want to hurt them so he simply didn’t tell them about his romantic attachments. The point being - your situation is not unique and there are many ways to deal with it that both keep the peace at home and afford you a sex life, which as a human being, you have a right to (assuming consent).

It’s a tough situation, Az. No easy solutions, but avoid hasty resolutions, they can really be regretful.

Do you have some professional to talk to about it? That might be helpful?
