Default Secular Public Education organisation (SPE)

Free, compulsory, and secular

Secular Public Education Limited was established in July 2015 as an Australian not-for-profit company limited by guarantee, and is registered as a charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission. In achieving our primary charitable purpose, that of promoting and protecting the human right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion or belief, we provide services including the following:
  • Advocacy support – offering inclusive advocacy services and providing support to individuals
  • Information – providing information to individuals, schools and the broader community
  • Education – providing education to individuals, community organisations and interested community members
The 2016 school year has commenced and, as in the past, we will be receiving substantial numbers of requests for advice and assistance regarding parent/caregiver rights in relation to religious instruction and chaplaincy arrangements at their public school. When requested, we will directly and discreetly advocate on behalf of individual parents and caregivers on a case-by-case basis. Since 2006, via informal parent groups and established secularist organisations, various Secular Public Education directors and associates have been successfully providing the above services to many hundreds of parents, caregivers, concerned citizens and public school students in every Australian state and territory. In the weeks ahead, other Australian states and territories will be included under our ‘States’ menu.
"History, I believe, furnishes no example of a priest-ridden people maintaining a free civil government".
-Thomas Jefferson

Burden of proof is the obligation on somebody presenting a claim to provide evidence to support its truth (a warrant). Once evidence has been presented, it is up to any opposing "side" to show the evidence presented is not adequate. If claims were accepted without warrants, then every claim could simultaneously be claimed to be true.

History isn't written by the victors. It's written by the people with the time machines.
