A brief interview with Paolo Bellutta the driver of Curiosity by Stu at the galegazette.. I've driven through Rome and from my experience I must say I'm glad an Italian is at the wheel.
Here's a mosaic of the "Promised land" (yes, they're calling it that, the buggers) here from HiRise the orbiting relay and camera satelite,

That looks astonishing, it really does. My son was captivated, and just kept saying: "It's actually another planet!"

For a kid raised in the era of spectacular movies and dazzling visual effects, it's gratifying to see that REAL images from another world are that much more impressive.
