The problem is this, ' is there a difference between spirit, spiritality, and spiritism' , and do we profit from spirit without the obvious evils of spirituality? Every modern religious group from nazism to vipassana claims spirituality, and they generally claim spiritism too but in the negative sense. Apparently in the original greek spirit means breath, which is not immaterial. Spirit has immaterial connotations. I like the word 'virility' , virituality,and viritism.

This mortal soul. Whereas spirituality is irredeemably sunk in the sewer of religion, i think that soul,specifically this mortal soul,is contestable and even winnable. The atheist battle for the soul of the nation. Etcetera.
