Had mine every year except 2011...and guess which year I got the flu.

This year, there have been 3 doses of it in our house and I have missed all three!

I'm lucky, my workplace provides the flu shot for free...though with Ted Fail-You's cuts to TAFE, that probably won't apply in 2013.

I've never had a flu shot, and don't recall ever having had the flu. I do infrequently catch a cold, perhaps every 2 to 3 years, this year being one of them.

After getting the flu once, I doubt I've had it more times. The time I did have it I was sick in bed for a week, and lost 10% of my body weight. I don't usually get flu injections, mainly because I am young and so assume I am invincible, despite the contrary evidence.

No flu but just getting over a really bad cold. Well it might have been the flu. Lasted a couple of weeks and turned my brain to mush brain still a bit mushy to be honest.

General rule of thumb: if you have a fever, it's flu. If not, it's a cold.

I've had several bouts of the flu, the one a fortnight ago being the worst in about 10 years - shivering, chills, headache, fever aches and pains... bed ridden for 48 hours. The cough and congestion is still lingering on too.

I've always been susceptible to the flu, which makes it doubly stupid for me to forget to get the flu vaccine each year ... I'll try not to forget next year!
