I have raised with EasyBooks support a problem where it quits a few seconds after opening, having worked perfectly up to yesterday. This is happening on two separate devices holding different accounts and not synced to one another. No new software has been installed.
I think someone else here uses EB? Wolty? Since I posted, another user has announced exactly the same problem, working yesterday, quits today, nothing else different. The Curse of the Solstice?

EB is an iPad/iPhone app, suitable for personal or micro-business accounting, the most obvious lack being sub-accounts and of course no payroll. It is a full double-entry system, one of my requirements. For the business I used MYOB.
In case anyone else suffers from similar symptoms in any application on an Apple iDevice, the problem started with the Apple in-App purchasing servers sending out unexpected codes which the application did not handle gracefully. EB was not the only application with this intolerance, apparently. The workaround was to disable WiFi on the device or to disable in-App purchasing in application settings. This avoided the problematic communication, which occurs as part of a start-up handshake and not because you are actually trying to purchase anything. Something else for troubleshooting steps when an app misbehaves. Apple have fixed their codes for the moment and the company has improved their app's error handling although the fix will not turn up in the store for a week, given normal processes.
