Ummmm... I was thinking that the most likely scenario was Demons winning, but the next most likely was there being 1 demon, 1 town and my recruited little self. I didn't know if the game kept going in that scenario... but if it did, I thought me claiming an investigation showing the scum player would be more suspect than trustworthy, and that the scum would kill me. So I tried to sound extremely innocent, and appear useful for scummy Durro to keep around, just in case the scenario I outlined above eventuated, I could then convince the town to lynch the last scum with me.
Thinking about it later, I guess if there's 1 town, 1 independant and no scum, town wins. So I guess I couldn't win anyway (as you alluded to with the 'with only revenge left' comment). So then I thought 'well f&*k it'. I can't win anyway.
Without the PMs, no-one trusted anyone. It was a learning experience.
