Default Rabid fans and the "Haters"

For over a year now, I have mantained a group called "Anti-Pony".
http://www.furaffinity.net/user/antipony

I introduce myself as "Icey Ponybane".

When I first made the group, it was for a joke among friends. I was a "Pony Stabber" who would commonly post *STAB* on my friend's commissions of MLP.
My issue with My Little Pony?
Nothing much really... Just got a little sick of seeing it everywhere, so I decided to have my own version of fun with it.

Despite being made out to be a "Joke Page", the group grew. Lots of stories came in about people who had been harrassed by bronies (Fans of the show), annoyed with seeing MLP being posted everywhere or had friends turn their backs on them because they didn't like the show.

So, Anti-Pony went through a makeover, from joke to serious outlook.

Now, at 400+ strong and growing, the group focuses on the activities of rabid bronies.
I'm collecting stories of when people have been harrassed by the RBs:

We have compared it to religious zealots, trying so hard to get everyone to join their cults for... something... Seriously, trade away the word jeebus with ponies and you wouldn't even know the difference. Its all cult work, IMO.

This is more a case of over-zealous people trying to shove what they like on others, then getting all hostile when the people say they don't like it.

The group enforces a "No attack" policy. That means no going out and harrassing people for liking the show. Anyone who breaks that rule is removed, blocked and shamed.

And we collect lots of... "Hate" art.
Warning: Not safe for kiddies. NSFW.

But yeah... Thats what I do.

Maybe you could stage a "kitchen table top grand national", and get the ponies to run the obstacle course of 'the toaster oven cave, jump "the food processor pit", and a dash under "the iron of iniquity". Throw in any power tools you may have, such as the "shortcut router route" or jump "the mini chainsaw barrier", you tube it, and set it to this:

Make sure you can do slow mode and it's a WINNER!

I like MLP:FiM

It is one of very few modern cartoons to have a well decent script as well as good animation and overall design. In my own opinion of course. But to each their own.

Currently the show is in its fourth generation. The toys haven't completely caught up yet. I own a few which were given as a gag gift by friends, but beyond the show i have little interest in little girl ponies.

MLP figurines were around when my daughter was little early '90s. They were quite cute, a bit like chubby skun shetlands with glitter. The ones I saw a while ago looked more like they were competing with paris Hilton and had got awfully skinny

I really don't understand "haters" (haterz?). I don't understand why it's such a big deal for some people that a lot of people like something that is mediocre. I don't know much about My Little Pony, but the hating of Twilight and Harry Potter makes no sense to me. I don't think reading those books would be life changing for me, but there are thousands of mediocre books out there. Some of them I've read and I didn't get to the end and think they were so bad that I should ridicule anybody that thinks they're amazing.

The other thing I've noticed, especially with Twilight is that a lot of the comments "haters" make seem very homophobic. It seems like (having not read the books) that the biggest criticism is that the main vampire character is "gay" because he likes glitter or something, and vampires should be badass instead. I noticed the same theme with the criticisms on facebook of One Direction (a band I'd never heard of until people started hating it on facebook). Is this a theme for hating things? Are they hated because they don't fit normal sexual stereotypes? Is that why My Little Pony is hated - not because of the show, but because adult males "shouldn't" like cartoons about ponies?
