Default Good science magazines

Can any of you nerds recommend me a good science magazine for the almost-intelligent layman?

I occasionally buy Australian Sky & Telescope but am looking for something that covers a broad range of disciplines. I was also turned off NewScientist by their 'God Issue'.

Many thanks.

I don't do magazines any more. I often visit these sites. I'm no scientist though so I can't vouch for their value. I like the headlines

If you want some of that "so horrified they would say that you put your hand over your mouth while still only reading the headlines" action ... BEWARE!

Science Illustrated is normally a good, clearly written read.

If Nature mag made their "News and Views sections" open access it would be really great. N&V's are well-written articles for the layperson that report major science papers in Nature and often elsewhere.
Carl Zimmer's Blog
Jerry Coyne's 'Why Evolution is True"
Ed Yong as well.

Many thanks. I bought a copy of Science Illustrated, will plow through it over the weekend.

I didn't even think of blogs, so feel free to recommend more of those.

Science Works magazine has its moments, though it's only available online.

After 9 posts, nobody has mentioned New Scientist? Is there something wrong with it, or am I the only one reading it
