There Is No God: Promoting Secular Humanism

Current projects:

1) Online petition to encourage Penguin Books to fund an updated version of Geoffrey Robertson's "The Case For The Pope".

2) Communicate directly with Geoffrey Robertson to let him know this is happening

3) Ask for assistance from Geoffrey Robertson to put us in touch with pro bono experts in the field of tax law and human rights violations

4) Assemble a team of activists and experts to bring several lawsuits against the Catholic Church, Holy See and the Papacy in the following areas:
a) Force them to pay taxes
b) Prosecute all three for Crimes Against Humanity
c) Prosecute local church officials for being complict to these crimes

My focus for 2012 has been and remains to remove religious indoctrination from Australian public schools. Its a narrow focus but doable. If I was to work hard on a second focus it would be the removal of promoting religion as an "as of right" tax break in the Australian tax law.

Working out how we can get rid of scripture classes in NZ. A wee facebook group has been started and it's growing slowly.
And I aim to take a small class in philosophy, more education = better able to rationalise = better atheist activist

Quite simple, just type in Keep religion out of school (NZ). New Zealand association of Rationalists and Humanists is another fledgling site
Apparently one religious group was teaching in a north island school that dinosaurs weren't real. sigh
