Probably because bloggers like Andrew Bolt thought it was a good idea to rally the troops and give "dismissive" a big lead.
Yet if any of them gave it some thought, they'd realize a poll will probably be taken at the end of the show to see if minds where changed. And if they don't get the same turnout to inflate the "dismissive" vote, then it would appear many minds have changed throughout the program LOL. Not sure I'll be able to sit through that show. I hate this whole attitude that climate science is a matter of opinion and everyone has a say in it. The physics and mathematics don't take sides. And that's whats published in the literature, none of this political BS. |

I completely agree with you ABridgeTooFar, and I think this attitude is one of the big failings of democracy - in that it allows morons to turn factual issues into matters of opinion. Climate change isn't the only area where this has happened, but it's one of the ones that concerns me the most.
