Here is my tribute to the great man. I don't drink whiskey, but I will be having a Johnny Walker Black in his honour tonight.

Not being able to say I ever knew, or knew much about the man, but having only read a few articles and watched a few interviews/docos, it is quite sad to see such a brilliant mind no longer with us.
I'm honouring him tonight 2 ways - a few glasses of Bundy Red and this to say on facebook: Quote:

Christopher Hitchens the brave. This is a sad day for the rational thinker. My condolences to his family, friends and his millions of fans.

My tribute was after dinner I went out back and read the first chapter of god is not great whilst having a xxxx gold (no spirits in the house that are mine) and a cigar (cigarettes affect my running). At end of chapter I raised a toast. Indeed; here's to a great man!!

Just caught up with the news after an evening out. Ridiculously upset at the loss of someone I never had the honour to know, except through what he let us have of him. The world is poorer for this loss. I had so hoped he'd make it through another year. Vale Mr Hitchens!

Impossible to watch without tearing up.
I consider myself lucky to have known you Christopher though your wonderfully witty and inspiring literary works.
