I am not a troll, don't go saying that, I have stated very clearly that I am christian, and am representing my beliefs as I truly believe them.

Maybe we can keep as a sort of fish in a barrel for the newbies.
I am sure there are some redeeming qualities in there, we just need to coax them out somehow. It would seem logic won't work though.

Back to the beginning:
That's a definition that is entirely meaningless. It's just a bunch of pointless words strung together and conveys not one whit or skerrick of any substance. "Innermost aspect"? "Of greatest value in them"? The stuff I evacuated from my bowel this morning had more intellectual value. |

Vocal prayer, Meditive prayer is an activity that we do and we control, but contemplative prayer is a Divine activity that God does in us.
Vocal and mediative prayer leads us and disposes us to contemplative prayer which happens in the soul or heart of us. When we get out of the constant barrage of noise, and we truly get time to meditate and be still, and all the while with the disposition of wanting a relationship with God. Then God reveals Himself. See God is the perfect gentleman, He reveals Himself to the soul that disposes himself to Him, not to those that are hostile to him. If a man is proud, God will be invisible to Him. It's not so much that God isn't there it's just that the person is not disposed to seeing Him. The soul is that faculty by which you have a relationship with God. The hint is "The kingdom of God is within you" That place where God can reside in you. I can elaborate but this is a start. |
