That's a definition that is entirely meaningless. It's just a bunch of pointless words strung together and conveys not one whit or skerrick of any substance. "Innermost aspect"? "Of greatest value in them"? The stuff I evacuated from my bowel this morning had more intellectual value.

The soul is that faculty by which you have a relationship with God.
