I don't do the heckling thing, which is what the Sat socials are. While it *might* make a bystander ponder things a bit more when listening to the evangelicals in the mall, overall I don't think it's productive.
I haven't been to the Monday meetups in recent months either, the current moderator (SteveS) doesn't appeal to me. I liked when AlexS moderated, the discussions were good then. I understand SteveS is handing over to someone else soon, I might come again then.

i'm in brisBANE too! is anyone going to the meetup tonight? i haven't been yet but i only know like 4 people here so i would be fairly keen on over-riding my social awkwardness and finding some likeminded humans!

Hey matey. I'm not going tonight, but I often do attend the Brissie Atheists things. I'll be going to the Sat social next month probably.

We also have some foruym get-togethers from time to time, which you'd be more than welcome to come along to. Why don't you start up your own Welcome thread and the Freakytown (read: Brisbane) Crew can pop in and say g'day... well, everyone else can pop in and say G'day, too.
