Default Egyptian law - sex after death

http://www.theweek.co.uk/middle-east...ntercourse-law

Why 6 hours? Does it become in poor taste after that? How many men want to do this that the Egyptian parliament felt a law was called for?????????????????????????????

This is mind boggling, I am at a complete loss to think why this would even be considered (other than some weird individual kink) in a parliament let alone enacted into law

I think it's weird that they are at the point of "haggling" over the duration, presumably because, somewhere along the line, they've already decided the law's a goer.

I trust comedians won't leave this alone.

Oh good, no discrimination then. He'll be up to it I am sure.

Or were they thinking she could give her dead husband a farewell blow job?

Islamic paradise. It's to die for.

When this says "draft law" does anybody know whether that means that it has passed any hurdles or not? I think often when ridiculous laws make the news, they are "private member's bills" which have been proposed by radicals and have no actual chance of passing. I don't know if that's the case here, but it's worth considering, giving how obviously outrageous the legislation. It doesn't seem to be a traditional Islamic idea as far as Google can tell me.

Good point. I can find numerous articles on it but not provide clarity on who put up the bill.

Yeah, it's bollocks.

Just some fucknuttery reported by the Daily Mail, who apparently can't manage to do journalism without the yellow.

Sad that others ran with it too, though.

Thank fuck for that.

I was wondering if it was introduced secretly by a woman's group as a way of giving some men the "cold shoulder" with no repercussions.
