Long time ago I read somewhere that life exists because of two basic ensticts which are survival and reproduction.
How I can explain the colour of the sofa is associated with two basic enstict.
Also it is amazing the point we want to live and at the same time we try to understand why we keep living instead of killing ourselves.

My point is a friently encroment including colours is nessesary for our survival.
if we "love" something that means its good for us, for mental and physical balance which mean survival.

That's nice. A long time ago, I read some dirty limericks. They were on the wall of a semi-public toilet, where I had gone to relive my bowels, given that I'm not one for performing such activities on other peoples' loungeroom rugs.

One of the limericks was about a young man from Nantucket. I didn't take it as gospel, though, and suspect someone just made it up.

It was quite amusing, for a brief period.

But that's all by-the-by. I suspect that what you read, if you did read it at all, didn't actually say what you seem to think it did. Either that, or it was a piece of utter drivel, and unworthy of more than passing notice. Life does not "exist... because of two basic instincts". Life exists because chemistry happens.

Some while ago some bloke or other pointed out that most multicellular forms of life could be described as having four main drives, which he called the "Four F's" (I came up with almost exactly the same formulation independently, only to discover that I was a bunch of years too late). Those drives are:

Feeding
Fighting
Fleeing
Fucking.

These are not, and never have been described as, reasons that life exists. They are more accurately manifestations of the ways in which multicellular life continues existence. I'd say it's a fine distinction to make, but it really isn't. They are worlds apart.

I don't know how you would do so, but I frankly wouldn't. I might spend the time and effort to gather enough knowledge to be able to ask a question that makes sense, though.
