Hi, I'm your New Member Welcome Message. I'm here to tell you a few things you might find useful.

Getting Started.
Okay, you've registered. Before we can get going, you'll need to confirm your valid email address, by answering an automatic message to the email you supplied us during registration.

Once the registration and confirmation email are done, we're almost there.

Your First Post.
Your first post will almost certainly be delayed until approval by a Moderator.

Sorry about this, but we value our forum, and the sellers of time-share ugg boots that cure bedroom dysfunctions, or people with nasty agendas, are not welcome. Everybody gets to queue, because some people can't play fair.

If You're A Member Of The AFA.
Members of the Atheist Foundation of Australia Inc may eventually gain access to the Members' Area which comes with certain privileges. Once you have 50 or so substantial posts up, a good rapport with other members and you feel completely at home here, please send a Private Message to Admin including your name as shown on your AFA membership and your status may be updated.

Waiting?
Our Admin and Moderation people aren't paid enough. Some of us are doing other jobs. Rest assured we'll get to you as soon as possible given our resource levels.

Believers?
We have a forum space: Fantasy Island, where those of faith can speak according to their convictions. Evangelising and arguments in favour of faith are strictly for the island. (See The Great Big List for some tips on Island netiquette.)

We have several Moderators who will be more than happy to help with most requests or you can Private Message Admin at any time for extended support.

The Moderators have been asked to never censor or permanently ban any user BUT outright abuse, unnecessary bad language or trolling will be dealt with by an Infraction system which could have members banned for set periods of time and/or receive limited forum functions.

Moderators may move threads or restrict access to keep things on-topic.
