'The revenge of the deplorables': Tony Abbott says Donald Trump's victory will put climate change in 'better perspective'
MoreFormer prime minister Tony Abbott has described Donald Trump's surprise victory in the US presidential election as "the revenge of the deplorables" and says it will put contentious global issues such as climate change into "better perspective".
In a wide-ranging television interview with conservative commentator Andrew Bolt, Mr Abbott pointed to a number of areas where the political tide had appeared to turn in favour of the right-wing ...,

From BL's link above Abbott stated,
'Moral panic'? Strange choice of words. If your car starts spewing thick black smoke out of the engine, is it a moral issue? Or if it just doesnt seem to be driving as well as it used to for some reason, a moral problem?"The moral panic about this has been completely over the top. One of the encouraging things about the election of President Trump is that we should finally be able to see this issue in better perspective," the former PM said. "We should take reasonable steps to limit our emissions but the last thing we should do is impose socialism in the name of misguided environmentalism."
If AGW is not real why limit emissions? Or is it just a little bit real and so we only need to do a little bit limiting, but if that's his notion, on what is it based and how did he arrive at this position?
Who said anything about socialism? WTF? And why is limiting emissions, a little bit, not misguided but limiting them, a lot, is misguided? Where exactly is the line between the two?
This paragraph is completely incoherent.![]()

It probably needs reminding that this thread exists and given that this human continually gives vent to everything that is not progressive, rational and empathetic then it is, sadly, still needed.
Beside his strange safe schools conniption, that Steve posted about, he also uttered such an incoherent statement about Turnbull i have to make note of it.
I'd agree with that. Next sentence Tony...What we need is good government, and generally speaking you don’t get good government by having a revolving door prime ministership
So...its not about the prime minister, its about government and it doesnt matter who the prime minister is?It’s not a question of who is the prime minister so much as a question of what is the government doing, and that’s where we need the best possible government and that’s why I’ve been putting forward, if you like, a five point plan for better government and I hope this is something that the cabinet and the prime minister will consider in the weeks and months ahead.
Just to get this clear Tony, good government is not about changing prime minister but then again, it doesnt matter who is prime minister...so we could change prime ministers? What the fuck?
Honestly, this human creature is a huge fucking dickwad, in my opinion. He so wants to be pm again its embarrassing, surely thats obvious to the general public.

What the housewives of Australia need to understand as they do the ironing is that if they get it done commercially it’s going to go up in price and their own power bills when they switch the iron on are going to go up, every year…

You know, i read through the quotes on that link strato, and they made me laugh but i've suddenly been struck with the notion that his words are latched on by a percentage of folk that think the words make sense.
Its probably not a laughing matter, but how the fuck else do you deal with it?
