Default Italian man 'poisoned family members after joining cult'

    BBC

Italian police have arrested a man who allegedly used a rat poison ingredient to kill members of his family because they were "impure".

Mattia Del Zotto, 27, is accused of sprinkling the toxic chemical thallium in the food of his paternal grandparents and aunt, who died.

Five other relatives are in hospital receiving treatment.
Nothing like a judgmental zealot rello, eh?

But..but....but.... wot about religious freedoms, Mr Black?

I am sure he sincerely believed that they were impure. What else could he do?

How did he come by the gear? Perhaps the cult leader should be charged the way Muslim leaders who incite zealots to violence are.

Thallium is a metal, banned here as rat poison after a spate of murders, the "thallium craze" in the early 1950's.

The killers were women. Mainly exacting revenge on men.

Good thing they banned it given the amount of domestic violence and sexual abuse still occurring.

@Strato: Alibaba and EBay both seem to have listings selling thallium.

    Struth!

Probly best kept to oneself. The stuff is quite tasteless. You can bake with it.
