Been camping. Pulled over on the top of a hill to listen to the announcement. Almost died five or six times driving down because the tears kept getting in the way of safe driving. Well done Australia!

I should've known the bigots were just the loudest dickheads but to be honest I was worried we would get a no win. Now if we have to deal with freedom to discriminate dickheads though and they have way too much political clout so I can see this getting even more nasty.
Spawn, 13, texted from school to inform me of the result.

When 13 yr olds are informed and engaged enough to involve themselves it doesn't matter how nasty the wankers want to make it.

I agree, their tantrums wont do shit to stop equality when most of the young people dont buy into the fear mongering. Its really heart warming.

Just think, if all the 20% who didn't vote had voted no, it still would have passed. Fuck yeah!!!!!
Hi Wolty, sorry, I disagree with this.

I pulled the file from the ABS and if you total the no votes, non-respondents and unclear responses, it totals to a bit over 51%.

It was always going to be hard to achieve this, but anyone who tries to claim that no would have won if everyone had voted would never be convinced anyway.
