At great cost, guns demonstrate how fucked societies are. Banning guns, while appaudable, is just plugging up the wall with mud. We will never be safe or happy until root causes are addressed.

Seriously? Can someone reference his source for that please?

He wrote on his Facebook page during the election campaign: “And with freezing temperatures and even snow forecast for Melbourne’s outskirts and in parts of New South Wales, I hope many of the warmists haven’t sold their coats.”
    It's an orgy of ignorance!

Two people a day die from falling out of bed? Strangely, that makes me feel like quite a high functioning individual because i really think i've got that particular death threat well in hand.

I can sum that comment Penny in one word: Burnt.
I do not fear death, in view of the fact that I had been dead for billions and billions of years before I was born, and had not suffered the slightest inconvenience from it.

The federal government's hopes of passing contested legislation in the Senate have been thrown into chaos following explosive revelations that its most friendly crossbench senator, Family First's Bob Day, may not have been legally elected.
