Hi From Melbourne - Intro.

Hi there AFA members. I was only recently aware of this place, but have been an Atheist since I was very young.
40 Years old now, with a daughter who is trapped in the clutches of the Christian Church in New Zealand and who believes (and is told) that I'm a bad man because I don't believe in make believe too and question the background around the religion.

Because of this, her family have turned her against me, and I have not seen her since she was 7 (long story - she was taken from her mother's care after we separated and put into Christian Foster Care!).

Once the organization discovered that I was quite questionable towards Christianity and the like, they did everything in their power to keep my daughter from me. Now that she's over 16 years of age, shes completely brainwashed, and had over 10 years embroiled in the Church system and it's contradictions.

So, there's much more to my story, but I don't want to bore anyone to death, so please feel free to ask questions.. I'm very open.

hi Scott, that sounds like a terrible situation mate. I have a daughter i havent seen since she was 2. She's 21 now. No religious bullshit, just a continental separation and a loss of contact. I figure if she wants to find me she will.

So have you explored legal possibilities for contact?

Also, welcome to the forum.

G'day Scott, and welcome.
People here wont pry.
Probably better if you open up, and ask questions, if you want.
Cheers
